New Port Richey city council has approved a $575,000 budget for acquiring an abandoned building and parking space at 5642 Grand Blvd. The city had planned to purchase a $1.75 million property from the Pasco County school district, but the sale fell through due to a technical glitch and the possibility of selling to private developers. Long-term plans for the area include a golf cart crossing and multi-use path.
