On March 5, the City Council of New Port Richey voted 4-1 to extend the contract of City Manager Debbie Manns for five years, with an annual cost-of-living rate adjustment. The vote was held despite objections from Council Member Peter Altman, who requested a postponement until October and after the upcoming April 9 election.
