J.D. Baker, a 9th grade graduation coach and teacher at River Ridge High School in Pasco County, fought an aggressive form of skin cancer while continuing to teach and coach. Despite his struggles, he never missed a day of work or practice. His dedication to his students and his message of never giving up earned him the nomination as this week’s A+ Teacher.
