Crystal River is a spring-fed waterway in Florida known for its manatee population. A team of researchers is tagging and monitoring bull sharks in the river to better understand their behavior and nursery habits. The team has caught and tagged 27 baby bull sharks so far, and is using acoustic tags to track their movements. The project is personal for one of the team members, who is from Crystal River and has a boat that is used for the research fishing trips.
