Deadly Impaired Driving Surge: MADD Spearheads Awareness Campaign

More than 13,000 people were killed by impaired drivers in the U.S. for the second year in a row, according to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration data. MADD and local law enforcement are teaming up for Saturation Saturday to raise awareness of drunk driving ahead of Labor Day weekend, a period known for its high accident rates. Sharon Hall, Program Manager of MADD, lost her son Louis to a drunk driver nearly 16 years ago, and she now advocates for the cause.
