Two largest shelters in Hillsborough County and Pasco County have temporarily stopped taking in stray dogs due to a dog flu outbreak. The Humane Society of Tampa Bay has halted dog intake until July 12, and Pasco County Animal Services has extended the suspension until July 18. The move does not affect cats, birds, and other pets.
