Addie Ogden, a kindergarten teacher at Double Branch Elementary for 17 years, was named Teacher of the Year. She is also one of three finalists for the district-wide honor. Ogden’s teaching style is marked by patience and nurturing, attributes she credits to her own struggles with reading as a student. She is a mother of two and believes her parenting experience helps her connect with her students.
