Duke Energy Florida, one of the largest utilities in the state, is preparing for a busy energy usage season this summer due to the higher temperatures. They recommend customers keep their air conditioning units in good repair and set their thermostats to save energy and money. Both Duke and TECO have energy-saving programs customers can sign up for, and Duke is offering a cost reduction to customers starting in July.
