Firefighters In Pasco County To Get Changes To Schedule And Competing Wages

Firefighters in Pasco County will soon have a change in schedule, moving to a 24/72-hour shift that will give them extra time off to decompress and spend time with their families. Additional mental health resources will be available to help with the stress of the job. Being a firefighter is a family affair for many, including Capt. Scott Combs, who has been a firefighter for 12 years and hopes the changes will lead to growth and more resources for the department.
