Flooding From Hurricane Milton Affects Thousands In Florida

Hurricane Milton has caused the Withlacoochee River to crest at 19.5 feet, 7 feet above flood stage, leading to evacuation orders and infrastructure damage in Pasco and Hernando counties. About 3,400 properties have been impacted by the flooding, and a shelter is open at the Enrichment Center. County officials say this flood is the worst the area has seen since the 1930s.
