The Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs held a roundtable discussion in Land O’Lakes on Wednesday to discuss an initiative started by Florida First Lady Casey DeSantis called Hope Florida, which connects veterans to existing resources. Hope Navigators, often held by fellow veterans, help identify what veterans’ goals are and connect them to organizations that can help. Many who work for ‘Hope Florida’ are veterans themselves.
