State regulators in Tallahassee have approved an agreement increasing Duke Energy customers’ electric bills, after months of negotiations between the utility and various stakeholders. The agreement saw Duke Energy’s initial request for an $820 million increase over three years reduced to $262 million, with additional funds allocated for new solar plants.
