Florida Resident Dies In Listeria Outbreak Linked To Boar’s Head Meat

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported a Florida resident died from listeria, part of a multistate outbreak linked to a recall of Boar’s Head luncheon meat. The agency said there have been 14 new cases, bringing the total number to 57, all hospitalized with eight deaths. The outbreak is the largest since 2011 and is a public health concern, especially for those who are pregnant, over 65 or have weakened immune systems.
