Florida Storm Survivors Struggle As FEMA Funding Shrinks

Florida storm survivors, like Captain Richard Ryan, are still waiting for disaster assistance after FEMA announced it approved over $1 billion for homeowners and renters. Ryan, who owns a fishing charter business, hasn’t been able to work due to thousands of dollars worth of damage to his vessel. He’s been denied FEMA assistance and a loan from the U.S. Small Business Administration.
