Retired teacher and school librarian Laura Vlahakis set up a free little library in front of her Holiday home to encourage children to read. The library also stocks nonperishable food that her neighbors can help themselves to. Vlahakis bemoaned the lack of librarians in the school system but saw that both adults and children still have an appetite for reading.
