Local fencing enthusiast Alex Kossmann started the Land O’ Lakes Fencing Academy in 2023 with a handful of students. Today, the academy has doubled its membership, with Kossmann aiming to expand classes to the Wesley Chapel Recreation Complex. Kossmann and his father, who are hands-on instructors, guide students through stretching, practicing, techniques, and sparring.
