Hurricane Milton caused unexpected flooding in the Lake Padgett Estates East neighborhood of Land O’ Lakes, with water levels from Cypress Creek rising and cresting at 15 feet. Residents were told the water would rise another 2 to 4 feet over the weekend. Despite the difficult situation, the community rallied to help, with several Land O’ Lakes, Lutz, and Wesley Chapel residents bringing sandbags, supplies, and assistance to those affected.
