A 42-year-old Palm Harbor man driving a Dodge Challenger was traveling northbound on US-19 around 2:45 PM. At the intersection with Louis Avenue, the driver attempted a left turn, failing to yield the right-of-way to a southbound Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by a 54-year-old New Port Richey man. The motorcycle collided head-on with the Dodge Challenger. The motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries overnight.
