The New Port Richey City Council passed four ordinances allowing the city to sell vacant properties it acquired through foreclosure for development of single-family homes. The measure aims to improve neighborhoods by eliminating blight and the issues that come with empty plots of land. Proceeds from the sales will go towards the city’s Neighborhood Improvement Program.
