Port Richey City Council elections were held on April 8, with incumbent Lisa Burke retaining her seat and newcomer Chris Maher gaining another three-year term. Incumbent Peter Altman was reelected and newcomer Brian Jonas also won a seat. The new council members will receive increased compensation, with the mayor receiving $9,600 and other council members receiving $7,500 annually. Former City Councilwoman Linda Rodriguez lost her seat but expressed gratitude for her eight years of service.
