New Port Richey Puts Hold on Property Purchase of Gulf High School

The city of New Port Richey put a hold on the purchase of a property with a Gulf High School building that was to be transformed into a cultural hub. The parcel, known as the Schwettman Education Center, is owned by the Pasco County school district. The city signed a contract to purchase the site for $1.75 million and was poised to start talks about its potential uses.
