The three Wesley Chapel-area high school softball teams started the new season under new direction in 2024. Tyler Finn takes over at Wiregrass Ranch, Ashley Nickisher inherits the Wesley Chapel job, and Kaitlyn Minor is the new coach at Cypress Creek. Nickisher played for the Wildcats in 2016 and went on to play college for one year before returning to the area and serving as an assistant at Wharton. The three teams have different outlooks for the season, with Wesley Chapel looking poised to make another run at the state playoffs, Cypress Creek striving to improve after a losing season, and Wiregrass Ranch looking to build on its success in 2023.
