The groundbreaking for the new YMCA in Wesley Chapel took place with local leaders, donors, and community members present. The facility, named after Mary W. Sierra, will be located on land provided by BayCare Hospital Wesley Chapel and will feature a two-story, 50,000 square foot building and a 36,000 square foot outdoor aquatic center. The project, valued over $35 million, was years in the making due to delays from COVID-19 and other factors.
