Pasco County Eliminates Pre-application Meetings For Developers

Pasco County is discontinuing pre-application meetings with developers, which allowed them to discuss potential projects with county planners before submitting proposals. This decision has been met with criticism from a local Facebook group, but the county insists it has been in the works for a while and plans to amend the land development code to remove the pre-application requirement. The Facebook group, Pasco County Development and Growth Updates, posts daily on development plans within the county, often receiving criticism for the county’s approved projects that result in lost greenspace and increased traffic.
