The Pasco County public school board has announced a new policy that allows teachers more leeway in grading homework and assigning take-home assignments. The policy, which was initially intended to be in place by the end of March, will take effect in the fall. The board aims to give teachers the ability to reinforce lessons through practice of skills at home, with homework grades making up no more than 20% of a course’s points.
