After over three years of delays, Pasco County’s state-of-the-art Fire Station 17 is nearly complete. Originally estimated to take nine months, construction stopped due to a defaulted contractor. A new contractor was appointed, and work has resumed, with the station expected to become operational in January. The two-story building features four large bays, sleeping quarters, and is over 18,000 square feet, designed with unique warm and cold zones to reduce firefighter cancer rates.
