Pasco-hernando State College President Resigns Due To Low Student Retention

Pasco-Hernando State College president Jesse Pisors resigned after less than 18 months in the post due to poor student retention and revenue loss. The college was found to be second to last in student retention among Florida’s 28 public colleges, with nearly 60% of students enrolled last fall not returning this spring, and a revenue loss of up to $10 million. The low retention was attributed to the college’s administrative issues, as highlighted by Governor Ron DeSantis’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) report.
