Pasco patient needed crash team but hospital could not find his room; he died

A patient on a remote monitoring program at a Florida hospital had a potentially fatal change in heart rhythm. A nurse found the patient dead in their room later that night. The hospital’s computer logged the patient as being on floor 2 West, but a call to the ward revealed that the patient had not arrived. The hospital was found to have several safety concerns, including incorrect room number logging and understaffing. The hospital’s leadership has since been overhauled.
