Pasco officials have faced challenges in getting the Wiregrass Ranch Sports Campus to fulfill its goal of bringing in outside sports events and generating tourism revenue. The county recently approved a new, longer lease for the Marriott Residence Inn on the property, hoping the new operator can improve occupancy and generate more tourist tax revenue.
