Crews have been battling a brush fire near Port Richey townhomes since 8 p.m. on Wednesday. Neighbors reported waking up to the smell of smoke, and some noticed ash in their driveways. The Florida Forest Service has the fire 90% contained and estimated it to cover 20 acres, with no buildings threatened. Firefighters will continue to be in the area over the next several days.
