According to forecasters, there’s a 40% chance of a tropical depression or storm forming in the Caribbean over the next seven days. If it does develop, it may become known as Patty. The system’s development is expected to be influenced by low wind shear and the Central American gyre, and could result in widespread downpours, mudslides, and flash floods in the Caribbean. It’s too early to predict the storm’s track and strength.
