A second challenger has entered the race for the Pasco County School Board District 4 seat, Jessica Jecusco Wright, a Florida Virtual School instructor and former Pasco district teacher. She is running against incumbent Alison Crumbley and Firefighter Shawn Hayston. Wright is concerned about the way the board deals with the public regarding issues of concern and wants to bring a different approach to dealing with lawmakers as they write bills impacting public education.
