Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has directed the State of Florida flag to be flown at half-staff on Feb. 1, 2023, in honor of Sergeant David Dixon, who passed away on Jan. 21 after battling cancer. Sgt. Dixon served at the Zephyrhills Police Department for 15 years and had various roles, including Patrol Officer, School Resource Officer, Field Training Officer, and Patrol Sergeant. He was remembered for his commitment to the citizens of Zephyrhills and Pasco County.
