Residents of New Port Richey have been enjoying the benefits of a single waste hauler system for some time, including reduced wear and tear on streets and a cost lower than expected. The city council is now looking to further improve the system by moving billing for this service to a non-ad valorem line item on property tax bills, a practice already in place in many municipalities in Florida.
