A political furor in the Tampa Bay area, flared quickly before fizzling. No Trump-backed primary challenger materialized against Florida District 15 U.S. Rep. Laurel Lee, despite Trump asking on social media if any great MAGA Republicans were willing to run against her. Two MAGA loyalists, James Judge and Jennifer Barbosa, qualified to run, but both look like long shots against Lee’s prominent political name and financial advantage.
