The Clearwater Marine Aquarium recently opened a new Manatee Rehabilitation Center to help accommodate the increase in manatees needing care. The Tampa Bay area has been doing better at taking care of its manatees, and the new center allows visitors to see the work being done. Preliminary data shows a decrease in manatee deaths, attributed to improved seagrass in the Brevard County region.
