Greg Kehoe, a prominent Tampa defense lawyer and former federal prosecutor, has been selected to be the next U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Florida. Kehoe would need to be confirmed by the U.S. Senate and could serve as the acting U.S. attorney while a permanent nomination is pending.
