The July full moon, known as the buck moon, will appear bright and full as it rises after sunset on Saturday. The moon will also appear full on Sunday and Monday nights. The Aug. 19 full sturgeon moon will be the first of four consecutive supermoons. The Perseids meteor shower is also expected to peak on Aug. 11-13, with possible sightings of the aurora borealis due to solar activity.
