The Zephyrhills City Council has voted to purchase two lots located next to Zephyr Park, with no additional funding needed due to $300,000 already available from the Community Redevelopment Agency. The intention is to use the land for an improved park area, rather than a parking lot. Council members have expressed a preference for retail development that complements the park.
