The recreational bay scallop season for the Pasco Zone opened on July 10 and runs through Aug. 18. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission also announced the Florida Nomad’s Artist Spotlight Award for youth artist Sebastian Romo. Separately, Suncoast Waterkeeper and Tampa Bay Waterkeeper are offering grants to recreational fishing professionals impacted by Hurricanes Helene and Milton in 2024.
