Dade City’s Live Oak No. 7 Reprieved From Execution

The famous 200-year-old live oak tree in Dade City, Florida, has been granted a stay of execution, ending weeks of public protests. County Administrator Mike Carballa announced that the tree will remain standing, as long as it passes biannual checkups. A new maintenance plan has been implemented to protect the tree and surrounding property.
