Eugene Scott, a Pasco County School District maintenance worker, also runs an after-school program for kids called This is How We Do It, which provides music, dance, and meals. The program, started in the late 1980s, operates out of the historic Booker T. Washington School, and Scott refuses to retire, as he funds it with his salary and doesn’t want to abandon the volunteers.
