Families in Pasco County Get Homeownership Chance With Habitat for Humanity Community

Habitat for Humanity Tampa Bay Gulfside is launching Sandhill Ridge, an affordable housing community in New Port Richey, Florida, designed to help working families achieve homeownership. The 20-home development targets families earning 30 to 80% of the area median income, offering zero-interest mortgages with no down payment or mortgage insurance. Abby Kistler, one of the first families selected, worked for a decade to save money before the pandemic wiped out her savings. She and her son will move into Sandhill Ridge within the year after getting through the rigorous application process.
