Fatal Head-On Collision on Eiland Boulevard Claims Two Lives Including a Child

A fatal head‑on collision on Eiland Boulevard in Zephyrhills early Saturday morning left two people dead, including a 4‑year‑old child, and caused serious injuries to others. The crash involved a Nissan Altima driven by a 30‑year‑old Dade City man and a Hyundai Santa Fe driven by a 43‑year‑old Zephyrhills man, both traveling opposite directions on the same road. At approximately 4:37 a.m., the Nissan deviated into the southbound lane and struck the Hyundai, causing both vehicles to spin and come to rest on the shoulders. A 4‑year‑old boy from Dade City died in the Nissan, while a 40‑year‑old woman from Zephyrhills died in the Hyundai.
