Florida wildlife officers charged a commercial stone crab vessel’s captain and crew for harvesting over 65 pounds of stone crab claws illegally from unauthorized lines and traps. The traps lacked required buoys, and the crew was caught harvesting crabs before the season began. The seized claws were sold within the industry.
