Georgiou, 35, was found guilty of both counts of murder and one count of arson, 13 years after the double homicide of his grandparents. The killings stemmed from a family dispute over money, which also led to Georgiou’s incompetency to stand trial. Georgiou testified in his own defense, despite his lawyer’s advice against it.
