HCA Florida Opens New Emergency Department in Lutz

A $15 million freestanding emergency department opened March 25 in Lutz, Florida, as HCA Florida Healthcare expands to meet Pasco County’s growing population. The facility, located at the southeast corner of State Road 54 and Sunlake Boulevard, offers 24/7 care, advanced diagnostics, and access to HCA’s network. Features include private exam rooms, a trauma room, and onsite imaging services. Construction began in summer 2025, with the project costing nearly $70 million across three ERs. Pasco County’s population is expected to rise by 40% by 2045, driving demand for expanded healthcare infrastructure. HCA Florida Trinity Hospital, overseeing the new ER, reported serving over 74,000 patients last year.
