Hooked on the Bayou Seafood Festival Kicks Off March 14

The Hooked on the Bayou Seafood Festival returns to Port Richey Waterfront Park on March 14, offering free food vendors, live music, family activities, and a St. Patrick’s Day-themed poker run. The event aims to boost local businesses and community engagement, featuring entertainment from DJ Larry and Diane to DC & The Whiskey Revival. A fishing tournament co-sponsored by the Tarpon Springs Fishing Club will award prizes up to $1,250, with registration open until March 10. Proceeds from the poker run support Runaways Animal Rescue, while participants can win gift baskets by collecting receipts from all stops. Mayor John Eric Hoover emphasized the festival’s role in revitalizing the waterfront as a tourist destination.
