A man is currently in critical condition after being struck by lightning in Dade City on Monday afternoon. Pasco County Fire Rescue crews responded to the scene at Palmilla Circle and immediately began administering CPR to save his life. Emergency personnel then transported the victim to a nearby hospital where officials confirmed he suffered critical injuries from the electrical strike. Authorities have not yet released the identity or age of the man, nor have they determined what activity he was engaged in when the storm occurred. In a separate incident around 5:15 p.m., crews responded to another reported lightning strike involving a different individual who appeared conscious and breathing upon arrival. While this second victim did not show serious injuries, he was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure due to the potential dangers of lightning exposure.
