A 12-year-old student from Cypress Creek Middle School in Wesley Chapel, Florida, died after being struck by a Ford F250 pickup truck while riding an electric skateboard near Moonrise Way in the Crosswinds Subdivision. The incident occurred around 5 p.m. on Tuesday when a 45-year-old driver made a turn and the boy entered the vehicle’s path. Emergency responders transported the boy to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. School officials confirmed the victim was a student and activated a crisis response team to support students and staff. Principal Tim Light urged families to seek additional counseling and support for those affected by the tragedy.
